PitchSightPitch Count Portal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

PitchSight (“we,” “us,” or “the portal”) helps baseball athletes and their care teams track throwing workload and protect arm health. This policy explains what information the portal collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the PitchSight Pitch Count Portal at portal.pitchsightbaseball.com.

Information we collect

When you create an account and use the portal, we collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your date of birth (used to determine age-based guidelines)
  • Athletic profile details such as level of play, throwing arm, positions, and any prior arm injury history you choose to share
  • Session data you log — pitch counts, outing type, effort level, velocity, days of rest, and arm-care activity
  • Any pain you report while throwing, including location, timing, and severity

How we use your information

We use this information to:

  • Track your throwing performance and workload over time
  • Monitor arm health and surface age-appropriate workload guidance
  • Let your PitchSight care team review flagged sessions and leave notes for you
  • Send you reminders and account-related messages

This is not a medical records system

The portal tracks athletic performance data only. It does not store protected health information (PHI) or medical records. Any clinical records your care team maintains are kept separately, outside of this portal, under the appropriate medical privacy safeguards.

Children’s privacy (COPPA)

PitchSight is committed to protecting the privacy of children under 13 in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts. During sign-up we ask for date of birth first; if the person is under 13, we stop and instruct that a parent or guardian must create and manage the account on the child’s behalf, providing verifiable parental consent. A parent or guardian may review their child’s information, request corrections, or request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Access is protected by per-account security rules so that athletes can only see their own data, and only authorized members of the PitchSight care team can review athlete data.

Data sharing and research

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may use de-identified, aggregated data — information that does not include your name, email, or date of birth — for research aimed at improving arm-health understanding and injury prevention.
